Health and Psychosocial Support
Based on our well-known niche as an organisation of providing places of safety, health and psychosocial support to children and young persons, Simukai will scale up its Case management systems in all areas of operation.
The need to provide 24-hour psychosocial support to our beneficiaries was made more apparent during the peak of Covid 19 where most of Programme participants could not access services physically due to the Covid 19 restrictions that were put in place.
The organisation will establish a 24-hour toll-free line to allow our Programme participants unlimited access to our services. Provision of comprehensive Sexual Reproductive Health Services (SRHS) is also key in addressing the needs of our beneficiaries and communities.
In this age of misinformation and disinformation it is crucial for children and youths to access SRHS from well-established and supported spaces.
Objectives
Simukai also promotes positive health information through raising awareness on Non Communicable Diseases (NCD) to Programme participants
